GROUP-ID (Ghent Researchers On Unfolded Proteins in Inflammatory Disease) is a new consortium researching the role of ER stress in inflammation and immunity.
GROUP-ID is one of the Multidisciplinary Research Partnerships or MRP's at Ghent University. In this consortium 6 different research groups are involved (headed by renowned researchers Bart Lambrecht, Peter Vandenabeele, Rudi Beyaert, Jan Tavernier, Dirk Elewaut and Steven Staelens) and 6 new Tenure Track positions were awarded within those groups. In this way the consortium covers different areas going from proteomics to cell biology and basic immunology.
